[OR] NTE 30 hr/wk qualify for holidays/PTO?
Due to work shortages, I was moved from salary/exempt, to NTE 30 hrs/wk. I still have my benefits. They calculate my time at 6hrs/day. I’m able to work my week so I often have off on Fridays, although sometimes I manage my time to attend certain Friday meetings. Occasionally, I need to do client projects at night or on the weekends. I need to adjust hours during the week to accommodate and not exceed 30.
I recently saw that I no longer get the benefit of any normal company paid holiday that happens to fall on a Friday. When I asked why, I was told that I usually have that day off anyway.
This does not sound right. Any thoughts from HR professionals?
