Ubuntu can detect my Nvidia Card but can't use it
I have tried solving this issue for awhile. When Ubuntu was installed it installed with a nvidia-driver-595-open so removed it and switch to the proprietary. The issue didn't resolve as when I run nvidia-smi but get an error.
I even checked if my GPU is set up properly with Ubuntu able to detect it.
So I don't how to move forward whether to use the other drivers as my Nvidia card is 3050 Ti mobile or might be another conflicting issue.
Edit: After much struggle and confusion I found the solution. I was using nvidia-driver-595-open and normal one but someone on another reddit post said that nvidia-driver-595 barely works on Ubuntu 24.0.04 so I installed the recommend driver, nvidia-driver-535. https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubuntu/comments/1qnwtv3/best_drivers_for_nvidia_rtx_3050_on_ubuntu_24043/
When I update my Ubuntu distro, I will consider using nvidia-driver-595.
