This year has been tough for me and my girls. I had three female ferrets, aged 8, 6, and 5. In January, the middle one got sick, and within two weeks, I lost her. Then the youngest died out of nowhere due to kidney-related issues.

Now only my oldest girl is still with me, and she’s definitely feeling the loss of her sisters. I’ve been giving her lots of attention, but she’s already elderly, and her energy isn’t what it used to be.

On the first day I got here, I bought a little plush duck that she used to play and hide. But ever since her sisters passed away, she’s been treating it like family, like one of her sisters. I’ll leave you with a picture of her sleeping with it :)
