The title may be a over simplified. I'm a 43m 5'9" 225lbs. I have a good amount of muscle and decently wide frame. I have lifted weights off and on for more than 20 years.. Unfortunately I basically alwasy bulked, likely am roughly 30-35%bf. I have made some diet changes and down about 20ish lbs from 248lbs in about 6 months. I have done a some jogging over the years and currently go to the 4-5 days per week, when I first wake up at roughly 4:00am.

My question is, every time I jog I get extremely winded in about 1 minute, to the point where I need to stop to catch my breath, is this normal? My thought is because I never have done cardio (Other than long walks, easy hiking for maybe 7 miles, a fe 5Ks, but never really pushed myself in the sense of cardio. At my best I have jogged about a mile of one 5K (47mins time). Also, my shins(guessing tibialis) hurt and lock up within minutes of jogging. Lastly, I have noticed that I land hard on the ground, causing pain to the bottom of my feet. I'm looking for experienced and or professionals to chime in on a proper way to approach this for someone of age and size.

My goal is 190lbs at roughly 15-18% body fat and be able to jog 10Ks without stopping. My change in eating will be lifelong and expect that to lose roughly 6lbs/month.

*** side note, I have been on 160mg/week of testosterone for roughly 4 years due to it seems to be the best thing that helps with depression and axiety, out of the 30+ medications I've tried over the last 35 years.
