So I fear I messed up really badly. I broke my phone last month. It's a more niche phone, so when I took it to the shop to get it fixed, they told me the fix was going to be 500 because I didn't have insurance. After weighing my options, I decided to enroll in phone insurance and wait a month to get it fixed. I have a flip phone, so I could still use the front screen. Fast forward to today, I have 2 days left of the waiting period and got curious. I decided to poke around the website and noticed that it allowed me to put in a claim and said my plan said active. I decided to just test the waters. I put in ALL the info and as soon as I hit send, a message popped up stating that since this damage happened in the waiting period, it cannot be fixed with the insurance plan.
I am beside myself upset rn because I literally had to wait 2 more days, and now I think I may have ruined it for when I put in a future claim. They will be able to see that I put one in already. I've been using a broken phone for the past month, and now I may have to shell out a bunch of money for a new phone in the end.
Has anyone done this before? Is there a chance that if I put in another claim in 2 days that it will get accepted, or did I just F myself really hard?
