Cursor AI or Claude… Which One Is Better?
I’m thinking about getting either Cursor AI or Claude for real-world full stack development, but I can’t decide which one is actually better in daily use. Some people say Cursor feels more practical while coding and working inside big projects, while others prefer Claude for debugging, logic, and understanding complex code.
For developers building actual production-level projects, frontend, backend, APIs, databases, deployment, etc., which one do you think is more useful overall? Looking for real opinions and experiences before buying one.
From an $80K/Year Software Engineer to Unemployed
One of my friend entered software engineering around 2017, when the tech industry was booming. Companies were hiring everywhere, salaries were high, and within a few years he managed to get a really good package. Life felt stable he had a remote work, good income, and a promising future.
But by 2026, the market had completely changed. Because of AI Layoffs started happening, competition exploded, and companies became far more demanding. One day his company suddenly reduced a large part of the team, and he got laid off too. Since then, he’s been applying for jobs for months, but every opening has thousands of applicants and extremely tough interviews. The market doesn’t feel the same anymore.
That’s why many people are now questioning whether software engineering is still the safe and stable career it once seemed to be.
With massive competition, global outsourcing, AI, and thousands of developers entering tech every year, many people feel software engineering salaries are no longer as high as they used to be. Is the industry becoming overcrowded and underpaid in 2026
Are Coding Influencers Ruining Software Engineering? 😳
Everywhere online, coding is marketed as the easiest way to earn money. Now everyone is learning the same stack, building the same projects, and applying to the same jobs. Has social media made software engineering overcrowded and unrealistic for freshers?
