Dried flower crown, boutonniere and 2 (out of 6) bouquets done!

I always wanted a dried flower crown for my wedding and to keep it as a memento (if it survives). Since we had some specific plants in mind and I have a chronic case of crafter's hubris ('Oh, it should be easy!') anyway, DIY was the obvious choice!

We bought dried flowers for 50€, some sage green ribbon and a wire headband as a base and then I went to work, pinning it all to an old cushioned hairband until I liked the look and was ready to commit!

I also made a matching boutonniere and still had enough flowers left for six small bouquets to scatter across the tables

Our wedding is mostly done in shades of blue and green with a natural, mediterranean vibe. To set the mood: A summer day underneath the canopy of a large tree, situated at an organic winery in a small village. Fairy lights, mix'n'match lanterns, lavender, fresh herbs...

The plants we specifically wanted to incluse were Eryngium, lavender, Lagurus and some cereal grasses. The rest was more or less what the supplier had bundles up together with those.

It was a mean bit of work to get fragile dried flowers attached to a ribbon but it's done and I'm really proud of it!
Now, only four more bouquets await... ;)
