I'm willing to excuse characters like Helob, Ratoo, and Sozo. Helob and Ratoo have crowns and Sozo lives forever when he's in your cult as well. But I don't understand some of the NPCs living forever.

Especially with Aym and Baal, once you recruit them they die quickly like every other follower, but once you give them to Forneus they live forever. Same could be said for WH spoiler: >!Hagar!<

And when I say the minibosses live forever I mean like, I could die to Eligos and wait 100+ days if I wanted and Eligos would still be there. And we know all the minibosses are normal followers based on the first time we meet Amdusias. And in relation to WH again:>!the same could be said for all the dog minibosses there. Since they're just Marchosias's followers.!<

Same for The Fox. He was originally a normal fox follower but now lives forever.

At first I figured it was only dead gods, but Chemach made relics out of her siblings' items too. And they're both still alive. Could relics be made out of mortals too? Is there any case of it? Is it only powerful beings?

(I'm mostly asking these questions for an OC I'm making, who's obsessed with making relics. But I'm curious if they could make them out of regular mortal parts)
