Hi seniors and friends,

I have got Rank 2562 in VITMEE 2026 for M.Tech.

My locked choices are:

1. Vellore VLSI - Cat 1
2. Vellore VLSI - Cat 2
3. Chennai VLSI - Cat 1
4. Chennai VLSI - Cat 2
5. VIT-AP VLSI - Cat 1
6. VIT-AP VLSI - Cat 2

Many people on LinkedIn and WhatsApp are saying that even Chennai Cat 1 is very difficult at this rank. Some are saying only Cat 2 or AP is possible.

I have decent projects (RISC-V SoC + CNN Accelerator with full tape-out + Maven internship).

Please help:

• What are my realistic chances for Chennai VLSI (Cat 1 or 2) in 1st round or further rounds?
• Is VIT-AP worth joining for VLSI?
• Any seniors with similar rank (2000-2800) who got Chennai?

Really tensed because VIT is my last good option. Genuine replies only please.
