Hello everyone,

I’m an international student, and I just found a room through MyKot (Brik) that seems suitable for me. However, for the security deposit, the option to send the amount directly to the landlord’s bank account is already checked.

I’ve read here that it’s usually better to use a blocked account for the deposit instead of sending it directly to the landlord. So I checked Brik’s model contract, and it also includes “sending the money to the landlord’s bank account” as an option, just like the contract I received from the landlord.

Is this something I should be worried about and contact the landlord to switch to the blocked account option? Or is it fine since it’s included in Brik’s model contract?
