Hey all — I’m mostly posting out of curiosity at this point since because I think I will replace the range but I like fixing things and wanted to understand what actually failed here.

Appliance:
GE Profile 30" Induction Range (approx. 13–14 months old)
Model: PHS93XYP7FS

Main Issue:

  • Front Left Burner stopped working
  • Active fault code: F374
  • Several other inactive fault codes also stored, (but if they're inactive do i have to worry about them?)

What’s been replaced so far:

  • Relay board (fixed it temporarily for ~24 hours)
  • Generator board
  • Control panel / UI

Behavior:

  • After relay board replacement, unit worked briefly (~24 hours) then failed again - I used it for cooking a soup for +1 hr and then it wasn't working again the next morning
  • After generator board + control panel replacement, burner still non-functional
  • Same F374 code persists

Other Notes:

  • Techs mostly swapped parts rather than doing deep diagnostics
  • I don't think a root cause was ever actually identified

My Questions:

  1. What does F374 typically indicate on GE induction ranges? - I can't find any documentation of the fault codes available
  2. Given the parts already replaced, what would you suspect as the actual root cause?
  3. Could this be something like:
    • wiring harness issue?
    • sensor/communication failure between boards?
    • power supply instability?
  4. Is there a known failure pattern on these (control board cascade, etc.)?

Appreciate any insight from folks who’ve worked on these or seen similar failures.

I am thinking about replacing it with a Cafe Range with knobs, but concerned about the GE reliability after the experience with the Profile.
