My dad was arrested by ice a month ago, today he was transferred to Texas I imagine he will be deported shortly now I have a question for any of you that have had a family member deported. Do they have a chance to make a phone call or do they get informed before getting sent to their respective country’s so they can notify the family on the outside ?
Good afternoon, looking for some advice my dad who has been here for more than 20 years had a removal order since 2003, he since then has married a US CITIZEN they have been married for 10 years he was awaiting a interview date for his residence, 3 days ago we had an appointment to get biometrics done at this appt he was arrested by ice, now I have hired an attorney which I feel he is just trying to get money out of me, he’s telling me he can get my dad released from ice custody now to my understanding because if his old removal order there is nothing we can do and he will be deported regardless.
