Preparing for two week cross-country road trip.
I am preparing for a two week road trip in June that will encompass Utah, Nevada, California, Montana, Alberta, and Yukon. I'm curious how people prepare their cars for road tripping/car camping. I've done a lot of road tripping and car camping in the past but this would by far be my longest trip. I'm looking into the possiblity of getting a portable AC unit for my car as well as curtains. I've got a black Subaru Forester and a dog so I'm a little worried we may bake in there. I'm wondering if anyone has any reccomendations for portable AC units, window coverings, portable chargers, or just generally making sure my car is ready to go.
Literally whatever advice you may have is appreciated, want to make sure I'm as ready as I can be without spending a bajillion dollars. I've looked at some cheaper AC units like the one below and I'm wondering if this is a situation where you gotta pay $300+ for a good AC unit or it won't do anything.
