Hello there. I’m getting back into cycling after a long layoff and am making adjustments to a bike that I intend to use for commuting/fucking around on. I am looking at some 700x40c Maxxis something or others and am intrigued but that’s a lot more rubber than I am used to.

I would be running them on Mavic CXP 33’s that an early 70’s Peugeot PX-10 is sitting on. Drive train is single speed.

Any insight would be appreciated.
