Hit 50,000 km today on my 2022 Tata Punch (Manual) Accomplished Dazzle!

I bought my Tata Punch (Accomplished Dazzle pack, Manual Transmission) in November 2022, and today I officially hit the 50,000 km mark! It’s been my daily driver for the last three and a half years, and I’ve taken it on some massive road trips across the country.

Since prospective buyers are always asking about long-term Tata ownership, I figured I’d do an AMA. Here is a quick summary of my experience so far:

The Drive & Performance

City: Super comfortable. It handles daily traffic like a breeze and the manual gearbox gets the job done easily.

Highway: It does feel underpowered when you’re trying to make quick overtakes. However, the high-speed stability is fantastic—the car stays completely grounded and inspires a lot of confidence on the open road.

Fuel Economy (The E20 Factor)
I’ve noticed a significant drop in mileage since the shift to E20 fuel. Here are my real-world numbers:
Before E20: 16-17 kmpl (City) | 21 kmpl (Highway)
After E20: 12-13 kmpl (City) | 16-17 kmpl (Highway)
The Tourer Life (Long Trips)
I’ve pushed this car on several long highway stretches.
Up North: Delhi to Haridwar (~210 km), Rishikesh (~240 km), Chandigarh (~250 km), and Jaipur (~260 km).
Down South: Hyderabad to Chirala (~300 km), Hampi (~365 km), Vizag (~650 km), and Goa (~670 km).

Niggles, NVH, & Quirks
Cold Starts & NVH: During a cold start, there is noticeable cabin noise and you can actually feel the vibration in the driver's seat. However, once the engine warms up, the cabin goes completely silent.
Electrical Gremlins: The steering-mounted controls have a mind of their own. For example, clicking the "next song" button actually mutes the audio, along with a few other minor electrical nitbits here and there.
Ergonomics: Here is a weird quirk—I feel the steering wheel is mounted slightly to the left of the driver seat alignment. It’s a slight offset, but you definitely notice it over time.
Maintenance & Reliability
Wear & Tear: Just standard replacements so far—spark plugs, battery, brake pads, and tires. The car itself has been highly reliable, and I've never had to make an insurance claim.
Service Experience: An absolute nightmare. The car is great, but dealing with Tata Service Centers (TSC) has been a massive headache.
Ask me anything about the car, the road trips, or the dreaded service center experiences!
