Hi, I am an Applied mathematics and statistics major at Johns Hopkins, and I'm wondering how quant firms view that? I know we're not a feeder, but will we get thrown into the bunch with other non-ivies? I mean we're a T10 in the Us, no?
Sorry, idk much
I always thought I wanted to go into IB but realized it was too brain dead for me when I met a couple quants. I'm just wondering what my chances are for Quant Trading?
Gpa: 3.85
Great experience (several projects, research paper in progress, worked as an analyst for a year)
What I am most concerned about is do I have enough time to prep from now (early may) to when apps open (august)?
I'm not the best at stats, probabilities, the teasers, mental math.
But I have all summer free to prep. Am I too late? Do you think I can still land a top firm?
