PCOS/PMOS suspicion

Hi, everyone!

I (18F) suspect myself to have PCOS/PMOS due to reasons I'll state below. I've noticed that my body and systems have been working rather differently which eventually lead to this suspicion. I leave for the college dorms in 2-3 weeks, which leaves inadequate time for me to get a proper and thorough diagnosis at a government hospital in my country. plus, they'd probably just give me BC anyway. on top of that, it could get flagged as a chronic illness and that would make it really hard for me to apply for scholarships next year. Here are the differences I've noticed on myself:

  1. I got my first period at 11 and it is STILL abnormal until now. I got a month-long period at 14/15, and I only get 3-4 periods a year. sometimes a 30-day gap, sometimes an 8-month gap.

  2. difficult weight loss, especially in the abdomen and thighs

  3. I gain muscle easily, which I've read that it's pretty common among PCOS/PMOS women

  4. oily scalp even with double cleansing

  5. mood swings

I'm not here for a self diagnosis. I just wanna know if my suspicions are valid, whether they could overlap with other conditions, and whether it would be great to try out a lifestyle typically recommended to PCOS/PMOS folks. do share some pieces of advice for me, I'd really appreciate that!
