Hey there. I have a male that I got at approx age 6 months old on Feb 1st. Roughly less than a month later I got a female who I’m assuming based on dates given to me, she was 5 1/2 months old at the time. So right now, mid April, I’m estimating he’s about 8 months old and she’s about 7 months old. My male is extremely comfortable with me. Not handling comfortable. But he lets me clean his tank and move things around and doesn’t freak out when my hands are in there. Female is a little more jumpy but also comfortable with me. She sleeps on a snake plant right in front of the door, and if I open the door when she’s on it, to spritz or remove food before bedtime,she doesn’t go crazy or anything and try to get out. That’s just a good example. But I interact with them as much as I can, they’re right next to my work desk in the main area of my home and I also work from home so Im literally with them nearly 24/7z Their terrariums are right next to each other, and they don’t seem bothered by each other’s presence at all, in fact I think they’re starting to be kind of sad not being able to actually interact.
My male is a big boy and my female is a tiny princess, but overall I think he’s just slightly bigger than her, maybe a half inch. He has shed cleanly FOUR times since I got him, and I’ve been WAITING for her to shed, and she finally did yesterday, I’m assuming the first time since I got her. It was perfect and cleanly came off and she’s looking great.
Should I wait for one more shed from her to bring them together? A couple more months? I’m not looking to breed specifically. I just want them to be happy! 💙💚🙏✨
