Watching Splitsvilla this year has been eye-opening.

Every single contestant is being criticized so harshly, it almost feels like every viewer out there is a saint who’s never made a mistake in life.

The level of nitpicking, the constant hate between fandoms, and the way people are ready for the “Janta Jury” or finale just to tear each other down, it’s honestly very sad to watch. Every small, petty thing is blown out of proportion and justified like it’s some moral victory.

Yes, some contestants may be playing it up for future opportunities. That’s part of the game. But the way the audience is reacting? (same goes to me)

There’s barely any positivity left, just negativity bouncing from one fandom to another. And it’s sad that we’ve reached a point where we think we’re always right, while magnifying every tiny flaw in someone else.

These are real people. With real emotions. With real mental health.
