Ik 15 credits are normally recommended but I got some classes off because I earned AP credits. Should I still take more random classes to fill out the 3 credits or would I be fine.

Hi! I just got accepted to vt a few days ago. I am pretty much sure about going here but I am contemplating between ohio state and here. My major for both is engineering. I know vt wins for stem but the only reason I'm thinking about it is cuz im a big city girl and I haven't got to live in cities my whole year and I don't want to do it again in college. I heard blacksburg is pretty much rural. Is there anything to do around there? like fun cafes or places to shop (I'm really not a nature girl). What's the weather like? Is college life overall fun? Please tell me everything and be honest!
