Heyy, I'm a senior in highschool! My ultimate goal is med school. Recently, i've been reading some CARS passage out of complete curiosity, and honestly, i'm very anxious and scared. I could barely comprehend a single sentence or understand what the passage was trying to convey? It felt like I couldn't decipher anything at all? I'm worried that my vocabulary is extremely limited and that my reading comprehension is fried.

I’m aware that I’m only a senior in high school, and that throughout university I’ll be exposed to much more literature and academically challenging material. But I don’t think my vocabulary and reading comprehension skills will just magically enhance over the span of 2-3 years?
