This city is a joke, except it’s not funny

I moved out of the city a few months ago. Changed my info with the DMV right away.

Of course personal property tax bills were sent out last month and mine was incorrect since I only lived in the city for 2 months.

I called the city to adjust, they added a support ticket 5/5 which still hasn’t been acknowledged.

Called again today, and she tells me I have to go to city hall and request they adjust the bill to be corrected. They won’t get to my ticket in time before the bill is past due, and they won’t waive any late fees.

WTF kind of garbage is this? Who has time to go to city hall for 2 hours during a workday to get a bill adjusted?? After I submitted information weeks ago!!

😠😠😠

7 day trip help, Fairbanks to Seward to Anc

Need some help ironing out my itinerary.

We are flying into Fairbanks, then going to Denali for 3 nights.

From there we are headed down to Seward for 3 more nights and then flying home out of Anchorage.

Looking into rental car options and of course they’re espensive for the one way distance from Fairbanks to Anc (an oversight on my part when booking flights, but we didn’t have many options)

Anyway… was considering the train from Fairbanks to Denali. How important is it to have a rental car while seeing the park for 3 days? We plan to do lots of hiking & the bus tours while at the park. We are staying in Healy though. Can we rely on shuttles to get by?

Not sure if we should just suck it up and deal with the high rental car fees or try to piece this puzzle together.

Any tips or insight appreciated!
