Ever since we moved in, these two hallway sconces burn through light bulbs at way too fast of a pace. Using LEDs, tried different brands, def under the recommended threshold…and yet, the issue persists. Replaced the fixtures completely thinking it must be that, but here we go again. Notice the bulb on the left is barely emitting light, even though it was brand new a couple months ago. No other lights in the house have this issue, and nothing else on that same circuit has an issue as far as I can tell. What could be causing these bulbs to die so quickly?!?

This has been slowly but steadily getting worse over the past few years…uninsulated, detached garage in western Washington. Most of the garage is just exposed wood framing, but the back part of the garage is actually an addition, and there’s painted drywall. Is spraying and scrubbing with soapy water the way to go? What would you do?!?
