Career switch to Actuary
Hi everyone,
I am new to the acturial world, I was a data analyst (1.5 years of experience) before with a computer science major, I found actuary interesting and wanted to ask for tips from you guys on how to transition and what extra skills to learn.
Also with the job market, is there a possibility that it will be very hard for me to get in?
Also how likely is it for an acturial analyst to be replaced by AI?
I am done with my data analyst internship and I am planning to give 4 exams in the span of 8 months.
FM in June, P in July, FAM in October and ALTAM in January.
My plan is to get an internship/full time before may 2027.
I would really appreciate any tips and guidance.
