This was mainly an experiment to see if it would take, although I'm excited to see what comes of it if they make it. RVC x X-Ray (Thai Hybrid)

I only got 20 seeds, each one had only one seed, and some were tiny so I don't expect them to grow. The inflo stem began to die off so I cut it off on the 14th, and as I was handling it to check it, a berry fell off. So I took what came off easily and left a few on. Then set the inflo in water, but by the next day I decided to take what else was left on there. At that point the flower part broke off the stem any way lol.

Wish me luck please, I'm hoping for at least a few to see what they do/ look like. )

I love a good dark Forgetii, or hybrid, and this one ticks all the boxes, shape, veins, and dark, plus it's double headed so it's extra full. Cabinet grown, but I took it out into ambient a few days ago, I hope it can continue growing such nice leaves. From 4 leaf sprout, and the first leaf in my care, to now.

Runt/ Dwarf, Bench Hybrid from Steve's Leaves, it's taken me over a year to get this plant to this point. For the better part of a year it would only hold on to 2 leaves at a time, as a 3rd new one came in, the oldest would yellow and die off. It grows consistently though. In the first picture it's got 3 good leaves and a tiny size up finally. But the leaves stay this small size basically. And as my 4th new leaf came in the oldest leaf is starting to decline. But the new leaf is showing a slightly different veining and shape.

It's got a very deep, dark purple emergent, I didn't catch that first color/tiny leaf, but you can see the veins are purple in this older emergent picture. And even a bit still in the now hardening off leaf. I'll always love this cutie, even if it can only hold on to a few leaves at a time, it's got some character. It's about to get a repot to see if that helps, and for a root check, since it's been a few months.

Sorry if I post so much, I consider myself as still 'new' even though I've been immersed in these plants for over a year and a half. So the oddball dwarf or mutations I'm coming across is all new to me. I really can't get enough of the beautiful variety these plants offer, and they're so fascinating to grow.

I've got this BWM X Open that I was wondering what the open part might be. I know I'd only be guessing, but it does have square petioles. So I looked up mags and Mag Verdes and thought "maybe" that the Verde could be part of it's make up. What do you think? Last picture is one I found of the Verde.

Steve's Leaves "Prince of Darkness" F2 seed siblings. Different growth habits, and leaf texture, one velvety and the other smooth. Parents "Not the Mama" (don't know what's in this one) x AOS. Shape is similar, but that's all. 1st one started out the small one, but once it took off it's been the better grower, and looks more like the picture of the parent pic. Second takes forever to putout a new leaf, and the last 3 have been like this emergent (but not as bad), damaged in some way.

Second set pics 5-7; Doc Block X Doc Block F2, both kind of growing neck and neck, veins looking different for now.

3rd set pics 8-9: Carla RA 10 X Carla 'Thermite' District x RA 8- Shapes started out the same, growth rate the same, veins are thicker on one, shape changed to a bit more narrow on the thinner veined sibling

I love how the difference cause me to question selling one or the other as they age. Although the Prince of Darkness is a no brainer LOL

These 2 plants didn't have a great time during winter. Both put out sub par/damaged leaves all winter. Then took until now to finally give me a couple nice leaves. I love surprises, I kind of ignored them ( not their care, just disappointed), now they're showing their mature looks it was worth the wait.

Kuna X Carla - Scott Cohen - I think this one will struggle in ambient because of the Kuna, we'll see, it's getting too big for the cabinet.

Dark Phoenix X Blue Pap - Kartel Daun (bonus seed) this one grew in an east facing window in the sun, so it's a bit bleached. I'm determined to get the next leaf darker by moving it's lighting position. I love the sinus and lobes on this one :)

Any idea how long RVCs take from pollination to harvest? I hope it doesn't croak on me, I'm very curious what this cross will yield, if it's viable.

I'm so excited to see the progress on these babies :) They give me such joy watching them grow, the potential for some beautiful plants in the making.

Bench Hybrids from Steve's Leaves. Funny thing is, I may not have picked these plants to buy on purpose, but they're some of my favorites now as they've matured. I've gotten 6 bench hybrids from Steve's Leaves, I paid for 2 (separate orders). Each order was for one plant. But the first one came with 4, each one different. My second order came with 2.

1-4 - Same plant, received about 2 months ago

5 - 2nd plant in my last order

6 - my dwarf that refused to grow more than 2 leaves at a time for a whole year, it's leaves haven't gotten bigger than this so far, but it's pretty and has 3 leaves now and working on the 4th, dark almost purple emergent.

7 - My biggest and best grower out of the 4 I got over a year ago, and my dwarf with it.

This Tezula RC x NSE Dress from Green Hues has popped out this leaf with a red splotch, it's never shown any kind of variegation on previous leaves. Has anyone seen this before from this line, is it just sport variegation? It's so red, I'm curious to see how it hardens off.

Last leaf. Cabinet grown, but sort of still struggling, the first leaves on it as a 2 leaf sprout, and up to about 6 or 7 leaves, were perfect, but it's only put out slightly damaged leaves since over winter. Could it be stressed induced?

This baby is full of surprises, the first leaf it gave me in my care was the long narrow one to the bottom right. Then it popped out the one next to it, and it took me a bit to see that it was an offset, but not a normal offset. Now the new leaf coming from the long one is obviously not long and narrow, and the offset has thrown a new leaf too. I can't wait to see what it looks like as it unfurls. It's like having 3 plants in one LOL

On a whim I pollenated my RVC with my Thai hybrid X-Ray about a month ago. They were both ready at the same time, so.... I'm curious to see what gets expressed between them if this inflo goes to 'term', different leaf shapes, sinus, and vein colors. This ought to be interesting :)

I'm looking to get a flatter sinus with minimal, but bright veins, dark color, and narrow, pointy shape. I love that look! Will they even work together?

Or 2nd cross, 1st pic (Dorito Port X Dress x Carla) X 3rd and 4th pic (Mr WW x JV RL self) This one may not have the flatter sinus, or be less narrow probably, but I think it would make a nice looking plant.
