Post-op concerns after suspected fistula surgery (Crohn’s disease) — worried something was missed

Hi everyone, I had surgery yesterday because there was a suspicion of a rectovaginal fistula. The MRI showed it, and there was also some stool and air coming out of my vagina. Yesterday, the doctors said it was a vulvar fistula caused by a Bartholin’s abscess and they removed it and sutured it. They said there was no connection to the bowel.

However, I still feel air from my intestines passing into my vagina, and this morning I also had some stool on my pad again.

I have had Crohn’s disease for 2 years.

Does anyone have any tips or experience in this area? I’m worried that they might have missed something.

Thank you.
