Avoiding overly touristic spots in Yunnan
Hello everyone,
in the beginning of June I will be spending 8 days in Yunnan. I will definitely spend some time in Kunming, Dali and Lijiang, but as I keep hearing that Yunnan has become a very popular holiday destination for both Chinese people and Westerners, I'm starting to get worried that I will be spending most of my time surrounded by huge crowds of tourists.
For example, are places like the Tiger Leaping Gorge and Shangri-La still worth a visit?
Do you have any recommendations for places in Yunnan that are still relatively intact (of course, I'm aware that if they are nice and accessible places there will always be a certain amount of tourism, I'm just trying to avoid endless lines of people taking pictures at each scenic spot)?
Thank you!
