I am way outside of my depth here. But I will see if I can explain this properly. My wife’s grandmother has a reverse mortgage on her home. She has dementia and my wife is POA. Not great, but here we are.

The want is to be able to buy the property from her. The catch is that she is trying to get on Medicaid and if we buy the home or she “gifts” it. Then that goes against her getting Medicaid.

Any ideas anyone has on how to navigate and make that happen?
