BRO I FUMBLED SO HARD

....i was talking to my crush and the topic was previous crushes/exes and stuff. But his english gets SO jumbled and minced sometimes that half the conversation feels like I’m decoding ancient scriptures.
So I was explaining how during my early teens I used to be super pickme ish and cringe but I eventually grew out of that phase
And he replied:
“So you grew up from that phase”
*a pause*
“And what type of guys you like”
…
YOU SEE THE ISSUE RIGHT???
Because apparently what he ACTUALLY meant was:
“you grew up from the type of guys you used to like”
BUT THAT IS NOT HOW IT SOUNDED 😭😭😭
I was already feeling kinda vulnerable and emotional so my brain processed it as:
“So what’s your type now?”
AND I JUST. ANSWERED HIM.
I FULLY STARTED EXPLAINING MY TYPE TO MY CRUSH LIKE A FUCKING IDIOT.
Meanwhile this man later goes:
"...thats not what I meant"
And after a minor crash out from me:
“everyone misunderstands at some point of their life, its okay"
LIKE THANK YOU SHERLOCK THAT DOES NOT REMOVE THE MEMORY FROM MY BRAIN 😭
Also at this point I genuinely don’t know how dense you have to be to not realize someone has a crush on you after this.
