First time playing, and I‘m on day 3. I am having a blast with all the side quests and crazy voices in the protagonists head.

However, there is one thing I don’t understand. >!The Hardie Boys !<have confessed that they are behind the lynching. Why aren’t they just getting arrested? As I continue investigating, there’s still so much to learn, but shouldn’t that be irrelevant to the actual case? The murder seems to be solved.

I love the lore and all the little details in the game, but I have a feeling I must have missed something fundamental.
