Chengdu isn't as busy as I'd expected for Golden Week
I mean, it's bad, but it's completely manageable. I've been in worse crowds in Toronto. Yulin Road area last night was pretty busy, and because it's relatively narrow it felt worse. Chunxi Road today was surprisingly manageable. There's a lot of people, but it's nothing like the pictures you see on TikTok of an endless sea of people. You can't walk normally, but you can progress through the street without coming to a standstill. I can't wait for next week to see how it dies down.
