I really want to get into Urban Planning and related fields. I have been searching the SJSU site and trying to see what courses they offer. I still cannot find it. Are there online courses for working individuals like me? I have a BS in computer science. Do I still qualify for a master's in urban planning?

I am a 30-year-old data scientist living in the Bay Area. I have an AS degree in Biotechnology, a BS degree in Computer Science, and an MS in Data Science. Go ahead, call me a nerd. TBH, I had no idea what I wanted when I was younger, so I majored in those fields, thinking it would help me make banks. However, I do not enjoy computer science and data that much. I don't even like how AI is everywhere, and no amount of money would convince me to work with AI. For a long time, I have liked civil engineering. I played SimCity, Timberborn, Animal Crossing, and many other city-planning games growing up. I also like designing in CAD and 3D printing stuff from it. In addition, I am a huge advocate for public transportation, housing, and sustainability. I realized that if I add those together, it is civil engineering. It has been at the back of my mind for a couple of years, and I decided to just go for it while I am still young.

I am trying to figure out where to start. I have been a data scientist for my current company for three years, and my job is super flexible. I worked 12 hours a week while being paid full-time. Plus, my company reimburses up to 12k in tuition costs a year. I am trying to figure out how to attend classes while keeping my full-time job. I prefer not to attend in-person classes in the middle of the day, but I'm open to taking online classes. I need your insights on this. Has anybody out there experienced a similar situation before?

I also saw that I can obtain a CE degree online through OSU. What do you guys think of that?
