Just a heads up for anyone travelling via bus to Alton Towers, the return bus to Stoke on Trent train station is at 5.40 PM, even on days when the park closes at 4. Just be ready to wait around for over an hour for the bus to show up (For reference, I git back to Birmingham at 8ish yesterday after leaving the park at 4 due to waiting for bus, and the next train back to Birmingham leaving as the bus pulled in so having to wait for the next one at 7) 😀
