Hey there, I have a Cube E-bike with a Bosch Gen 3 Performance Line Motor that's approaching 9000km on the odometer. Recently, it has been giving me clicking noises that I can see and feel upon cranking the pedals with medium or high torque, but I can't seem to replicate it consistently. It also slips sometimes under really high loads, about 15° or so and then it'll catch after. It used to not happen that often, but it's becoming a lot more prevalent now.
I've had the bike recently serviced, it has a fresh drivetrain (cassette/chain/chainring), and I'm fairly certain my crank arms are torqued to spec.
Some preliminary research leads me to believe it could be the freewheel clutch bearing inside the motor, and I am wondering if I would be correct in this assumption. If so, I've found a website that sells the part.
I don't think my bike is under warranty anymore, so I either need to ask my LBS if they'll do the repairs, or I'll need to do it myself. If I have to do it myself, what are some good resources to help me do it? This bike is my daily commuter, so the less downtime it suffers, the better.
