Hi guys, just a quick question here to understand whats going on with the water pressure. In my old house if i shut off the main water to the house the hot water tank would still supply hot water for some time until it was emptied. In the house im currently in, i shut off the main water and it seems all of the water in my house is shut off, cold AND hot. I would expect my hot water supply to still have pressure.

Can anyone tell me why this is and why its different between my two houses? Are there different types of hot water heaters that get their water pressure differently? Does this indicate anything is wrong with either of the systems?
