WW1 French Aviator Project (Guynemer inspired) & London E2 Connections?
Hey everyone,
I am currently piecing together a reproduction WW1 French Aviator flight / day to day uniform, loosely inspired by Georges Guynemer. It is a massive passion project of mine - with the ball now rolling with sourcing what I need and now waiting for everything to arrive - and the goal is a mix of high-fidelity living history but mainly light-hearted, classy social media content (think running mundane, real world errands in horizon blue and madder red - character and concept still in development here but you get the idea).
I am based in East London (E2) and don't have a car, so realistically - getting to most of the bigger living history events out in the wider UK countryside will be on the occasional side but still a pull factor for me - I've been to the Military Odyssey in Kent a couple of times in recent years and I'd love to go back again - this time in this kit!
Since this is an exceptionally niche impression, I wanted to reach out here to see if there are any other Great War reenactors, living history and historical (Edwardian/early 20th C) costume enthusiasts - based in East London?
Even if you don't do French aviation, it could be interesting to connect with any local individuals / groups to potentially chat more on the subject / related areas.
Anyway not expecting a response as this is probably way too niche - Englishman into dressing up in WW1 French Aviator aesthetic looking for like minded individuals!
Cheers
