I'm making this keepsake chest and just glued the box with bottom. I ripped some strips of the pieces to make the lid. So the entire box should be one big wrap around of the same piece. The middle of the lid is from the same board as well.

Kept the sapwood in as i like the way it looks natural.

I like the way it looks but it looks very boxy to me, wich is kinda the point but it feels like it could be better in some ways that I dont know. I dont have a router and the miters are not perfect.

Any tips moving on from here?
