Emergency maintenance requests is being ignored
Yesterday, after taking a shower, the light switch in my kids bathroom started to buzz and get warm to the touch. After googling it, it seemed to be failing and sparking under the plate. I turn it off and it’s still buzzing. I check the breakers and nothing is labeled for the bathroom other than the GFI outlet. I immediately reached out to my apartment complex, but because they were closed at the time, I was forced to try and contact the emergency maintenance line. No answer, and I leave a VM. I submit a request online. 3 hours pass and still no response. I call again, this time the VM is full and I can’t leave an email.
Now it’s the next day and there is still no response. The fact that this a safety/fire hazard in a complex where I’ve ALREADY lost a home to a fire due to managements negligence has me seriously concerned and I’m not sure what to do other than just risk it and wait it out.
What do I even do in this situation?
