Where should I live in Seoul

Hello! I'm currently applying for a 1 year language course at Konkuk uni, and need somewhere to live. I plan to rent an airbnb/enkostay apartment as cheap as possible, but I don't know how close to school I need to be. How fast/reliable is the metro? I'm fine with 30 min transit, even excluding time getting to the metro, but I don't wanna book something where I need to commute 1h every morning. On a map it’s hard to get a feel for how far something is (especially as a european who is used to rivers one fourth the size).

Didn't feel grand enough

Hello! Recently tried my first overnighter in Sweden (home country) and was slightly underwhelmed - as I'm sure most are after the first time. In my head I've wanted some epic adventure and to feel truly alive or something (as all rookies think). In reality, the cycling was quite fine, and less physically demanding than I'd expected, but it really was just a little trip to a random forest where I decided to call it quits the first day, and the morning after I just didn't feel like continuing more nights (even though my body could've). I think the biggest issue was that I didn't meet a single person - something I'd guess is a plus for a lot of people. Also didn't see anything particularly interesting as it was just around my home region. I've considered trying out couch surfing (though that app apparently just had an awful update) in order to actually meet people, and have the tent as a safety option. I also have this idea that once I get out of Sweden and start feeling like I'm in foreign territory (and slightly more populated territory), everything will just solve itself, but maybe that is a beginner's mistake idk.

Anyone had the loneliness issue? How's you solve it? Either way I'm sure I will continue trying as soon as I have time again, and am also planning to try out some hitchhiking, which will no doubt fix the loneliness problem.
