Would whales perceive ships and divers as two distinct creatures?
There are so many encounters between divers and whales and the whales are friendly and curious. Yet whaling ships have hunted them for generations not to mention the noice and propeller hits. Do you think whales are smart enough to understand humans build boats or would they just think we are nice, boats are not, but we sometimes ride them like remoras…
