Are privateer race teams gentlemen racers or are they a business?

So I was watching a YouTube video today, and they were talking about MSI Racing buying or wanting to buy some of Toyota's 2027 cars to compete in the WRC next year as a privateer team. My question is, when a privateer team races in the WRC, are they usually doing it more as hobbyists or " gentlemen racers" who have enough money to fund it themselves, like Patrick Dempsey or François Perrodo getting into high-level motor sports racing because they had the money and were also good enough to compete? Or is a privateer WRC team usually run more like a business where they're trying to bring in sponsors to cover the costs and hopefully make a profit?

Any suggestion on a WRC /Rally Racing podcast for a new fan?

Hi everyone! I’m brand-new to rally racing. I had never really followed the sport before watching this year’s Safari Rally Kenya, but I got hooked and have watched every WRC event since. I have a job that involves a lot of driving, so I thought I’d ask whether anyone has recommendations for good rally-focused podcasts. So far, I’ve mainly followed the WRC, but I’ve enjoyed learning about every part of the sport. From the racing itself to all the mechanical work that goes into keeping the cars running during the race as well as what it takes between races. I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
