Hey, I’m just an average (relatively) guy who is trying to get into Waterloo CS and wanted to hear ur thoughts on my ECs. I cleared the minimum competitive avg of 97 for my second midterms, but I’m not some genius from china who got 100% on every contest from Waterloo, so idk if my ECs are good.
Here is a list:
A published AI Agent program.
Organised a hackathon for my school that aimed to solve a school specific issue.
Some volunteering stuff (nothing crazy, just like 60 hrs total)
Distinction on CSMC, abysmal score on CCC, and average or slightly above avg for Euclid (q5 and 6 were insane this year)
Student Council, led an event as a member.
Little computer vision software (not published)
Python Bootcamp
Summer coop as an IT assistant at my school board.
Some SHSM stuff (mini projects, event participation)
I know that without building a non profit that gathers $1000000 on its first year or doing research at UofT you basically have 3% to get in. Just trying to see if these will give me a decent AIF score.
