Zaza Fruit Theories

I think its pretty likely that Zaza will have a mythical Zoan fruit, and since the last chapter I've been thinking about who is the most likely candidate to have this fruit, as I think there are a few that make sense. I'm gonna go over a couple of potential Zaza Fruit users and give points in favour and against them potentially having it. Going over them from most to least likely:

1 - Dragon

This feels like the most obvious and the one most people seem to have landed on. Since Dragon's first appearance in Logue Town he has had some degree of control over the weather, Zaza is the God of Rain. Dragon is the worlds most wanted man, Zaza is the greatest fear of the Celestial Dragons. There are definate and pretty obvious links here.

I think there are some points against this being the case. In my mind, the major one is the link between Dragon's notoriety and being the Zaza Fruit user isn't neccessary. Dragon was at God Valley, he knows the secrets of Ohara, he is the son of Garp, and he runs an organisation which directly targets the World Government, this is all enough reason for him to be the worlds most wanted man, throwing Zaza on top of that feels unnecessary.

There is also Zaza's design not being exactly fitting for Dragon. Zaza seems to have a design based off of Bedouin/Persian culture wearing a veil similar to a Burqa or Battoulah, wheras Dragon's design is explicitly based off of South American Guerrillas (specifically Che Guevara). Additionally, Zaza appears to be a woman (this could be wrong but just based off of the single panel in Chapter 1182), and Dragon is a man.

Even with these reasons against, this still feels incredibly likely to be the case.

2 - Vivi

I think there is a weirdly compelling case here. The first thing is the design, whilst Dragon has very different design inspirations than Zaza, Vivi's is incredibly similar. More than any other character, Vivi looks like Zaza. Additionally, there is the factor that, much like Luffy and Blackbeard, Imu has an obsession with Vivi and her ancient counterpart Lili. Similarly to Joyboy being the previous holder of the Nika fruit, I can see Lili being the previous holder of the Zaza fruit.

There is also a strong thematic link between Vivi and rain as a power, with the civil war in Alabasta breaking out because of the lack of rain. Vivi being the Rain God would make sense as a contrast to Crocodile being the one who stopped the rain in alabasta and started the war, with Vivi being the one who (through Luffy) brought the rain back and ended the war.

However, to address the elephant in the room, as far as we are aware, Vivi doesn't have a devil fruit. There is always the chance that she has either eaten one during the timeskip, or is still yet to eat one and will get it later in the story, but it's still a glaring hole in this theory.

I think that this is decently likely, but it would rely on either a rugpull reveal that Vivi ate one off-screen, or her eating it later on.

3 - Blackbeard

This one is a bit more left field, but still makes a lot of sense to me. Zaza has been presented as the god that he World Government fear the most, if this is the case, it is also incredibly likely that the name of the Zaza Mythical Zoan has been covered up (the same way the Nika Fruit was named the Gomu-Gomu no Mi), it is reasonable to believe that from the perspective of the World Government a Zaza Devil Fruit would be considered evil. On top of that, it is reasonable to assume that Zaza is able to counter devil fruit powers by being the rain god and having control over water.
Now this could be a reach, but both of these things go in favour of the possibility of the Zaza fruit being the Yami-Yami no Mi. The Yami-Yami no Mi is a Logia fruit dubbed "the most evil power in the world", it gives the user the ability to completely negate other devil fruit powers, but unlike every other Logia fruit does not give the user intangebility and instead makes them even more susceptible to pain. To me, this lines up with Teach's fruit not being a logia at all, and instead being a Mythical Zoan that has not yet reached awakening.

There are also the parrallels with Luffy to talk about. Luffy has a god Mythical Zoan, its likely Teach will have/get one as well. Both Luffy and Teach are considered to be equal threats by Imu, both have ties to ancient figures (Joyboy and Davy Jones), both have ties to previous powerful pirates (Roger and Rocks), both are the closest two pirates to the One Piece.

Also, this is the biggest reach imaginable but, Zehaha sounds similar to Zaza.

However, there are a lot of points against this. For the case of the Yami-Yami no Mi secretly being the Zaza fruit, Darkness and Rain are completely different. Whilst this could be seen as Teach not yet unlocking awakening and the full power of the fruit, it still seems like a large jump. And whilst Teach has more design similarities to Zaza than Dragon (he has worn very similar jewelery pre-timeskip), its still massively different with Teach's design being explicitly based off of actual historical pirates and (shockingly) the real life Blackbeard. Also, again, Teach is a man.

This would be cool, and I can see it happening, but it's not likely.

4 - Nami

I've seen Nami thrown around in discussions around this as well. In favour, Nami's entire thing is weather. She is an excellent navigator and her fighting style revolves around using and controlling weather. She is one of the main characters and her eating a devil fruit is definately something that could happen. She is also a woman, so she has more in common with Zaza design wise than either Dragon or Teach.

Other than that, I really don't buy this one. We know Nami doesn't have a Devil Fruit, and her eating one at this point feels redundant. Unlike Vivi who hasn't been a main character for 25 years, Nami has one of the main characters for the entire story. Giving her the Zaza fruit would invalidate the need for the Climatact and Zeus, it would completely change her dynamic in the crew, bumping her from being one of the weakest to one of the strongest Straw Hats, and really wouldn't fit with the whole World Government being terrified of the gods thing with her not even being on Imu's radar.

I can see the Chopper = Forest God thing, I can even see that making sense with his bounty of him being deliberately downplayed as WG propaganda, but with Nami I can't see it at all.

5 - Crocodile

I saw him mentioned, and no, not at all. I can't even think of a reason in favour other than that he stopped the rain in Alabasta, but like, his main weakness is water, why would the rain god fruit be weak to water? That would be like if Luffy's main weakness was the sun. This is the most unlikely one by a mile.

6 - The Man marked by Flames

This isn't at the bottom because its less likely than Croc, I don't think anyone is less likely than Croc. Its mainly here because we have nothing to work from. We don't know who the Man Marked by Flames is, we have no frame of reference. This could definately be the case, but there is no way to form a theory because there is no information.

I've put a lot of time into this game (somewhere around 600+ hours accounting for multiple platforms), and in that time I've played pretty much every build available, both pre and post 2.0.

I am just starting up a new run, and I was thinking about what are the best attributes, the ones that are the most versatile and useful for a wide range of builds and play styles. This is the conclusion I've come to. Keep in mind, this is only for current Cyberpunk (or anything past 2.0). Pre-2.0 is very different to this, but I haven't gone back and played it and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who hasn't yet because it's just not as good. If you were going to and you haven't yet, the best attribute is probably Cool because of Cold Blood.

S+ Tier -
Technical Ability. The best attribute in the game by a mile. Basically a must take for every build no matter what because of the Cyberware tree. Having boosts to Cyberware capacity is useful for every build imaginable, the only time it isn't useful is if you are doing a no cyberwar challenge run, but that is not how most people play the game. The tech Weapons and Pyromania trees are also good, but they are not as must take as the Cyberware tree. There is also the passive Armour gain from putting points into this which is so good and helpful at keeping you alive with any build.

S Tier -
Reflexes. Again, this is mainly due to one tree. Dash and Air Dash are so good and make most builds better just for having them. The mobility works with both loud and stealth builds, ranged and melee builds, Netrunner builds, pretty much everything is made better when given the boosted mobility options Reflexes grants. Along with that getting 100% mitigation whilst Dashing is an absolute requirement for low HP/Armour builds in order to stay alive on Hard and Very Hard difficulty when facing high level enemies, Cyberpsychos, and bosses like Smasher, Oda, the Chimera, Kurt Hansen, and Max-Tac. The Blades tree is also great if you want to use Blades, however the Automatic Weapons tree is the outlier here in that it isn't great and is probably the worst weapon tree overall (not that its awful, just that Shotguns, Pistols/rifles, swords, and blunt are all better). However, even with the Assault Rifles/SMGs tree being pretty mid, it's still an insanely good attribute just for how good Dash and Air Dash are.

A Tier -
Body. The best stat for loud builds. Boosted HP is the best passive stat increase, Adrenaline Rush is amazing for more traditional Solo builds, but also has insane synergy with Overclock for Netrunners. Shotguns are one of the strongest weapon types in the game, maybe next to Pistols, and the Shotgun tree is incredibly strong. LMG's aren't as good as Shotguns, but they still benefit from a lot of the buffs given in this tree and can be very strong. Blunt weapons are also really strong, Sasquash's Hammer in particular might be the best melee weapon in the game. Whilst I think generally the Blades tree is slightly better because of Bullet defection being very useful, Blunt still gets some great boosts and also throwing enemies at each other is incredibly fun.
Cool. The best stat for Stealth Builds. Cool is needed for any stealth build to work, however there are things in here which work outside of stealth, particularly the boosts to Pistols/Revolvers/Rifles. Revolvers and Pistols are super powerful, Pistols are the best stealth weapon, but Revolvers are still able to deal massive headshot damage in loud builds with Deadeye. I think generally both Cool and Body are more situational for if you are running either quiet or loud, but they both have enough versatility to be useful in a larger variety of builds.

B Tier -
Intelligence. Intelligence is not a bad stat at all, on Netrunners it is the best attribute in the game. However, on anything that isn't a Netrunner, this attribute is near useless. It gives some boosts to Smart Weapons, but a lot of those boosts still rely on high RAM and Overclock to maximise what they can do. Unlike the other attributes which can work with a large variety of builds, Intelligence can only work with Netrunners, trying to force it to work with anything else is deliberately nerfing yourself. For Netrunners, it is incredible and makes some of the strongest builds in the game, but if you want to run a Sandevistan or Berserk, this is useless to you.

I was thinking and I've just realised how rare it is in One Piece for Captains to have never been subordinates of another organisation (whether it be another Pirate Crew, The Revolutionary Army, or the World Government).

The only pirates we know 100% for certain has never been a subordinate for another pirates crew are Luffy and Roger, with both Rocks and Kidd being 99% certain but we don't know how/when they started being pirates so there is still a slim chance that isn't the case. There are also Joyboy and Davy Jones who we can assume were never subordinates but there is no way to know for certain currently.

Most other prominant pirates have, at one point, been subordinates to a larger organisation. Going through a list of the important pirates in One Piece

- Shanks (Roger Pirates)
- Blackbeard (Whitebeard Pirates/World Government)
- Whitebead (Rocks Pirates)
- Kaido (Rocks Pirates)
- Big Mom (Rocks Pirates)
- Buggy (Roger Pirates)
- Mihawk (Cross Guild/World Government)
- Crocodile (Cross Guild/World Government)
- Doflamingo (World Government)
- Hancock (World Government/Kuja Pirates under Tritoma)
- Moria (World Government)
- Kuma (Revoltionary Army/World Government)
- Jinbe (Sun Pirates under Fisher Tiger/World Government/Big Mom Pirates/Straw Hat Pirates)
- Law (Doflamingo Pirates/World Government)
- Bege (Big Mom Pirates)
- Hawkins (Beast Pirates)
- Apoo (Beast Pirates)
- Drake (Beast Pirates/SWORD)
- Ace (Whitebeard Pirates)
- Shiki (Rocks Pirates)
- Dragon (Technically not a Pirate, but as still was a Marine before starting the Revolutionary Army)

The only ones I can think of who don't fit into this are Urouge and Bonney, but Urouge we still know next to nothing about, and Bonney is 10 and could possibly join the Straw Hats or Grand Fleet by the end of Elbaf.

I think this is definately an important and deliberate decision to make pirates as important as Luffy and Roger the only ones we know without any doubt have never been subordinates to anyone, but its something I never really paid attention to.
