Was running a legendary mission today in The Division Resurgence, and honestly… I was surprised (and a bit frustrated).
It feels like more than 90% of players have no idea how to actually make a proper build. And to be fair, I don’t fully blame them. The system is honestly a bit too complicated for a mobile game, especially when you compare it to Division 1 and Division 2 (I’ve got 5k+ hours combined in those).
What I’m noticing is that a lot of players think higher power score = better build = more damage. But that’s just not how it works.
For example:
I’m sitting at around 19.1k power, while the rest of my team was 20k+, and one guy was even at 22k. On paper, I should’ve been the weakest.
But I ended up doing almost double their damage.
And here’s the worst part people don’t even realize this.
I’ve literally been kicked from teams because of “low power score.”
Once I even got kicked mid legendary mission, right at the boss.
I messaged the leader 1-on-1 and he said I was “AFK”…
Meanwhile my drones were just on cooldown.
In that same run, I had already done ~96M damage, while the team leader was sitting at ~20M.
What’s crazy is you can literally see team damage numbers in real time, but people still don’t check or understand it.
It feels like players are just stacking gear to inflate power score without understanding synergy, talents, or how stats actually work together. Builds matter way more than raw numbers.
Also, if any devs happen to see this a lot of things seriously need improvement:
power score clarity, team management, vote-kick system, and overall build guidance.
Not trying to sound toxic just genuinely curious:
Are people ignoring build mechanics, or is the game just not explaining things well enough?
