IndusInd bank charged me a ₹17,700 joining fee on an UNUSED, INACTIVE credit card. Need advice!
Hey everyone,
I’m in a massive headache of a situation with my bank and really need some guidance on what to do next.
Recently, I was issued IndusInd pioneer credit card. While I had initially consented to them sending it, I have never activated the card, and I have never used it even once. It has just been sitting there.
Despite zero activation and zero usage, the bank went ahead and slapped ₹17,700 joining fee onto the account.
I immediately reached out to customer care to get this sorted, explain that the card was never activated, and ask them to cancel the card and reverse the fee. However, they were completely unhelpful, gave me the runaround, and basically refused to budge.
I firmly want this card cancelled and the full ₹17,700 reversed.
Has anyone successfully fought a joining fee dispute on an inactive card?
Any suggestions what I do next?? Accpect my fate? 😅
