I've had this jade plant for about fifteen years now and the whole time my mom has been looking after it (I'm not very good with plants so she was the safest to care for it). A few months ago we started thinking it would need pruning and trimming but she was worried about doing it in case it ended up dying. My sister instead (the other designated 'plant person' in our family) decided to stake it up and tie it up, and also moved it to an area with less light. I've since moved it back into an area with more sunlight and feel it definitely needs a prune to try and get some strength at the bottom but want some advice on how to go about it, what else I should do etc. I also want to repot it so if anyone can give me a suggestion of what to use for planting I'm also happy to take advice.
