Hello,

I am planning to go interrailing in 2 months time (July) and one of the trips is the direct 8hr train from Frankfurt to Milan. The only problem is that seat reservations are mandatory (that's fine) but it's impossible to book it.

For example, on DB it simply says that the price is not available and I tried booking with the passzuschlag and it is not available either. The train is not fully booked, as you can buy the ticket itself, but of course I don't want to spend this money on the train because that's why I bought the pass lol.

I also checked on raileurope and it says I have to do it in person (😭) so I'm not sure what I can do other than take multiple connections instead. Thanks.
