I beat it with the Plague Doctor alone. Using healers or tanks are overkill.

Characters that can easily beat Apocalyptic mode:

1. Costume Prince (here, in this run, I over prepare)

2. Engineer (tried him, welp, it's harder but it's easier than others)

3. Paladin (his shield is just op)

Characters that you need skill to pull off.
