Stabbing pain

Hi, newly diagnosed and I do have upper pain, but does anyone else also have these really painful pains on their sides (right above their hips) that just is so sharp it feels geniunely like being stabbed? 😂 I’ve also been very nauseous and dizzy recently, but im not sure if it’s MALS related

Surgery

hii so im a 17yo female and I got diagnosed with MALS a few days ago, its still shocking to me but im glad I got diagnosed

I have around a week to decide if I want surgery. My doctor says that it’s a 50/50 chance, and to be honest ive never had surgery so im super freaked out.

He believes that if my symptoms aren’t that bad there’s no need. The most common symptoms I suffer with are random pains, not specific. Sometimes after food, sometimes after a workout, sometimes I don’t have them. I also bloat like crazy which destroys my self confidence, at the end of the day im an insecure teen

I would love to hear some experiences on your surgeries and suggestions

Pain on my sides

Hi:)
So I was diagnosed with MALS a few days ago, thankfully my symptoms aren’t that bad from what I’ve learned. I don’t often have pains after eating, mostly after exercise. My pains are pretty much a little bit above my bellybutton

Although since March-ish I’ve also had pains on my left and right side sometimes, somewhat under my ribs. My surgeon said that the area wasn’t a known area for MALS pains

I’ve been tested in so many different ways (colonoscopies, gastroscopies, mri’s etc.) and nothing showed up, so I was wondering if anyone else has experienced these pains and if these also have a chance of being caused by MALS

thank you !
