As in, do you have anything special planned? For me, I’ll be going on a long, long walk early morning the day it comes out (assuming it’s on streaming, which I’m pretty sure it will be). I can imagine others might be wait for their CDs/vinyls to arrive though, or maybe you have another ritual. I’d be curious to hear what yours will be.
What do we think the hints of post-Big Sound Swans on Birthing are that Gira described? Personally I think it might end up being the stuff on The Merge with the sound-collage and ambient sections (like the part that samples Frankie M.). That, and maybe I Am A Tower? Not necessarily its sonic massiveness, but how textural it is as well as its spoken word focus, because (especially for the latter) that image of the art folio on Instagram that has supposed lyrics (or “associated writings”, I admit, so I could be wrong about this) seem very prosaic, less like they would be sung. Oh, and obviously I’d imagine Away would probably be one of the more explicit hints.
What are your thoughts, though?
Also, forgive me if this question has been asked before.
I’m thinking it’ll be Newly Sentient Being, or something using that track title, since previous live album names have followed, a lot of the time, the name of a track (ie Live Rope and Rope/The Beggar, Deliquescence and Deliquescencing, etc.)
With all the Instagram posts, and the recent uploads of Live Rope and Deliquescence to streaming, I’ve been utterly DYING to hear this upcoming live record. When does everyone think more info is going to be coming out about it?
Just wondering how long the upcoming live album will be, if anyone here has a prediction.
